The only email client I use now.

I consider myself a stickler regarding email clients. Im a coder and developer, so I want a fast, reliable, clean looking email client on desktop and my phone. I have gone through all of the new options out there, which are great on their own accord, but Cloud Magic is my favorite because of how simple, fast, and clean it is. These guys are real competitors in the email client arena, and if you are looking for a solid client I highly recommend this!

On Point

Love everything about CloudMagic. Simple, beautify designed, great support. Has everything I was looking for in a email client. WELL worth the money.

Good start

This is a good start, its clean, fast, and works really well. My main problem with it is that its missing some of the advanced features that I want to see in an email client. If it had the following thigs I would give it a 5 star rating. - snooze emails for later like Google Inbox or Mailbox - 2 column view, so I can view my list of emails adn the current email at the same time. The iPad version has this, so it should be easy to add - a reply form attached to the email Im replying to, right now it is a new window that covers the email, making it more dificult to go back and fourth and get the context of what Im replying to

STILL NO PREVIEW PANE!

I really want to like this app, but have been using it for two months now and the lack of a preview pane just makes the experience of processing a bunch of emails much more annoying than it should be. Most all Mac monitors are 16:9/16:10 at this point, and if you full-screen this app what you get is a list of emails taking up the middle 1/2 of your screen, with blank, wasted space on the left and right quarters. I’m sure there are people that like this “clean/simple” look but there is a reason every other email client offers a preview pane (including CloudMagic’s own iPad app)—it makes the email experience so much easier. I hope the developers can make both camps happy by adding preview pane functionality and making it optional (even if it’s off by default). To their credit they are steadily releasing updates, but so far they have no plans to implement a preview pane. So if this feature matters to you please make your voice heard!

Ok, Mobile better

Compared to the mobile version it isn’t very good. I don’t like that it’s hard to tell the difference between new email, and read mail. That for me is the biggest drawback, when I open up the app on my iPhone I can immediately tell what is new, and what is read. On the desktop it only makes the text bold, but since the difference between bold and regular is very small it’s hard to tell. This is another on of those design versus functionality that kills me. Similar to a lot of the new releases from Apple. I really want to like this, but I’ll probably go back to using browser email accounts.

Really want to love this, but . . . here’s my user wish list

I have used the mobile version of this product for some time, and I love it. I was hoping to use the same product for OS X, allowing me to have everything perfectly synced, as well as reducing the number of different mail apps I have installed on all my devices. The developer is correct in referring to a clean simple inbox, but honestly, there are a few features I would love to see added to a product update: 1. Please give us a message preview pane. 2. Please alow us to have greater control over window size. I use a product called Divvy that allows me to have a split-screen. Running two or more programs at the same time is important to me. This mail app, though, is something of a screen hog. It doesn’t like to give up too much screen area, even though much of what its window contains is sort of wasted, non-informational space. This means that it overlaps the other app significantly. When trying to resize the app window manually, it severely limits how small I can resize it. 3. More intuitive user interface. I have had several instances of my sent replies not being shown with other posts in a thread. This has made me takes several steps to get to my Sent Mail folder just to make sure it was delivered. 4. Ability to set the View so that a list of mailboxes is shown, thus allowing us to immediately get to another mailbox, just by clicking on it. Some of these shortcomings have been indictaed by other reviewers. I do wish I had taken the time to read them before spending $20 on a email program. Simplicity is great, but flexibility is greater. I am not sure I understand why an expensive email app seems so determined to offers the user fewer options than do several other, cheaper apps.

Kept pestering me for a review without an option to stop

I’ve seen this on mobile, never on Mac. Also, how do I turn off signatures? I have no idea. The lack of Trello cards makes this less “sleek” then the Mac version. Feels a bit plain.

Simple. Clean. Fast.

it’s Simply Beautiful and Clean,Very much user friendly. Though Lack lot of New Features like Google”Inbox” and such. hope they add some cool features into it on upcoming updates

Beautiful and Simple

I spent a lot of time researching email clients. I really wanted something simple, beautiful, and powerful that I could use across all of my devices (iPhone, iPad, Macbook). After a lot of digging, I settled on CloudMagic… the app is beautiful and works great on all 3 of my devices. They also integrate well together, as you log into each via a common CloudMagic account which keeps all of your email accounts/emails synced across all 3. The simplicity and style are fantastic and this client fits in right at home on Apple devices. It looks and feels like what the Apple email clients (which are a bit outdated style wise and function wise) SHOULD look/feel like. Give it a shot. The iPad and iPhone versions are free if you want to get a feel for it before investing on the Mac version!

Being improved and tech support has been very good.

I’ve noticed since I did get this APP that they have sent through a couple improvments already. In addition, the Tech Support has been very good. I received answers to my questions in a matter of minutes in some cases. That’s attentive Tech Support. As a full package, I like this and will stick with it. There are a couple things I would like to see change but none of them are deal breakers. Yes, the IOS seems to have more going for it but it seems that has not stopped them from updating the OS X version.

Very nice

A little expensive, but it’s the best email client I’ve ever used on my phone. I was happy to shell out the money to get it on my Mac. They push out updates pretty frequently, so they’re pretty good about responding to bugs and enhancing their product. Well done.

:::like floating in a puffy cloud::

I generally hate my inbox…but I love Cloud Magic. When Mailbox kicked the bucket, I searched for something powerful and clean to replace it. While CloudMagic still doesn’t have alllll of the bells and whistles that are out there, the design is BEAUTIFUL and it works. $20 for something I use all day every day is a bargain. This is clearly a product built with love and I hope they’re in it for the long haul. (I want Send Later, timed snooze deferrments, email template integration, and a dual screen composition option so I can see the email I’m composing and the one it’s replying to. BUT part of Cloud Magic’s beauty is the extremely blank airy composition screen. 5 stars.

Excellent client

I’m loving the simple/clean UI, the main problem with the app is the 10mb attachment limit. Other than that, it’s perfect.

Email karma

As a user obsessed with simplicity, this app just cannot get better than this: one single page with your messages, intuitive, uncluttered interface, and cross-platform (once I listed all my accounts and picked my colors on my computer, they were already there waiting for my on my phone). This app is to Email Clients what IA Writer is to Word Processors.

Simple…too simple

I was attracted by the app’s simplicity. I didn’t realize that simplicity comes at the expense of expedience. Without a preview pane to sort through email without opening it, without a true “select all” function, and without the ability to shrink each line (I’d rather lose the airiness and gain some compactness), this turns to be a lot less efficient than the Apple Mail app. An expensive failed experiment.

A beautiful, simple and efficient email app

I have tested and used many email applications. I was becoming increasingly frustrated by what I felt was really important, speed. Cloud Magic is fast, accurate and designed to be easy on the eye so you can focus on the email. People often talk about simplicity, but fail to deliver. Without a doubt, if you are looking for a simple, efficient and beautiful email application, look no further, Cloud Magic is your answer.

Dissapointing

I find the interface too sparse- navigtion is not intuititive. One of the things which drives me crazy about Apple’s mail program is that I can not delete messages easily- there is some glitch, where if I delete batches of emails, they return as soon as I switch to a new mailbox. I was hoping that Cloudmagic would allow me to delete these messages (thousands have accumulated!) easily, but I can’t figure out how to tailor searches to subject line, sender or recipient, so it’s difficult to organize a large batch to delete. It also only seems to be able to find 10 search results or so at a time, where as I know, for example, I have hundreds of spam emails from amazaon, that would hope to collect and delete. Overall, wish I could get my $20 back. I’m still using Apple mail and looking for a better alternative.

Extremely Handy

It would be a little overdramatic to say “where have you been all my life” but this app really does answer a lot of needs for someone like me who has to access different email accounts regularly. The UI is clean, very no-fuss, almost too minimalistic, but it stays focused on what matters. If you need this functionality, it’s worth giving it a try.

Minimal and Effective

CloudMagic is just so elegant and easy to use. I canʻt get over how much I actually enjoy processing email. Having the sync across all devices as I once had with Mailbox is just the best. No longer juggling several email clients. Gone as well are the ridiculous amounts of features that other clients insist on. This is just the perfect balance of minimal and effective that I could ask for. The support from CloudMagic is lightning fast. Asked and answered within the hour. It doesn’t get much better than that!

Exactly What I Wanted

I’m been extremely disapointed with Apple Mail for some time. I hd been using it from the very beginning of OSX. After doing some research into alternatives I decided upon Cloud Magic. It took less then 5min. to setup on my iMac, after creating a Cloud Magic account I was able to sync all of my accounts instantly to both my laptop and my iPhone. I was hesitant at first but it performs exactly as it should and I couldn’t be happier. Simple and intutive, great interface, awesome features. I highly reccommed this application.
