Unethical (illegal???) change of licensing policy
I’ve been using Cloudmagic on my Mac, for which I paid a one time license fee of $30 or so. I was “upgraded” to Newton without my consent: Cloudmagic simply disappeared from my hard drive, and Newton appeared instead, with its annual subscription model. I had no option to continue using Cloudmagic which strikes me as a violation of my user agreement. Even if it’s not, it’s coercive and unethical.
I use Cloudmagic simply to segregate one business email account from others. I will be shifting off of it asap. No doubt, to Thunderbird or another open source mail client. This is robbery.
