I’ve found my email application!
As a long time follower of the GTD process (or Getting Things Done), I’ve dreamed up the perfect email application for work that would allow me quickly process my emails in a way that makes sense. Newton does that. The process simply states that for all your tasks, you can either “do, delegate, or defer”. Email’s always been good at delegating; you just foward the email to someone else. For Doing, I’ve copied emails to checklist-based task managers and Defering typically meant leaving the email in my inbox until I got around to dealing with it. That’s been a source of real stress. You never have an empty inbox because there’s almost always something you have to do later. With connected apps, I can now save my DO emails to ToDoIst. And I can send my deffered emails to when I actually want to deal with them. Think of an emailed coupon that’s not useful to you until 5 days from now… do you really want to see it in your inbox for the next 5 days?
Really happy with this one. Super clean and super powerful. Kudos to the developer.
